Easy Halloween Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • Food coloring (orange, purple, etc.)
  • Frosting of choice
  • Halloween-themed decorations (candies, sprinkles, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Color the batter using food coloring to create vibrant shades.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Cool the cakes before decorating with frosting and Halloween-themed decorations.

Notes

Experiment with different flavors by adding pumpkin puree for a pumpkin spice variation or using different color combinations.
