Slow Cooker Lasagna

A comforting, simplified take on traditional lasagna made easily in the slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles (no-boil or regular boiled)
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese (low-moisture)
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Ground Beef or Sausage (or turkey/chicken for a leaner option)
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Onion (diced)
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare your slow cooker by greasing the bottom and sides with olive oil.
  2. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in a pan over medium heat until soft and fragrant (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Brown the ground beef or sausage in the pan with the sautéed onions and garlic until well browned (about 7-10 minutes). Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Combine the cooked meat with marinara sauce and let simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Layering time! Start with a layer of meat sauce, followed by lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  6. Cook on low for about 240-360 minutes (4-6 hours).
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the layers, add more cheese, or include your favorite vegetables. Leftovers taste even better the next day!
