Simple Doritos Taco Salad

A delightful and nostalgic taco salad featuring crunchy Doritos, seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, and creamy toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Doritos (classic nacho cheese or any favorite flavor)
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 taco seasoning packet
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup cheese, shredded (preferably cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add the taco seasoning and follow packet instructions for water. Simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Prepare the lettuce and tomatoes; chop and place in a large salad bowl.
  4. Assemble the salad by adding the cooked beef to the bowl. Toss with cheese.
  5. Add crushed Doritos right before serving for crunch.
  6. Dress with sour cream and salsa, serving on the side for customization.

Notes

For added freshness, consider serving the salad with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro or lime juice. Keep the Doritos separate until serving to maintain their crunch.
