Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

A cozy twist on a classic favorite, these Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls combine fluffy rolls with spiced apple filling, evoking warm memories in every bite.

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 34 medium apples (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 roll of premade cinnamon roll dough
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the filling by dicing apples and mixing with sugars, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Mix the dough by combining flour, oats, baking powder, and salt, then add wet ingredients.
  4. Roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Assemble the rolls by spreading the apple mixture on the dough and rolling it tightly.
  6. Top with remaining apple mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Finish with icing made from powdered sugar and milk after cooling.

Notes

Using freshly grated nutmeg can elevate the flavor profile. Don’t skip the frosting for the perfect finish!
