Delightful Raclette Experience

Celebrate comfort meals with a traditional Raclette that brings friends and family together for a warm, interactive dining experience.

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg Raclette cheese (or Gruyère/Emmental as substitutes)
  • 1.5 kg waxy potatoes (Yukon Gold or new potatoes)
  • Sliced ham (jambon blanc)
  • Coppa (or prosciutto)
  • Dry sausage (saucisson sec, or chorizo/salami)
  • Cured ham (jambon sec) and Grisons meat (or smoked salmon)
  • Cornichons (or dill pickles/olives)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, chives)

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove dirt.
  2. Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until fork-tender, keeping skins on for extra flavor.
  3. Set up your Raclette grill or tabletop heater.
  4. Cut the Raclette cheese into thick slices (1/4 inch).
  5. Place the cheese on the trays of the grill and let it melt while preparing other ingredients.
  6. Arrange all accompaniments on a large platter, creating an inviting display.
  7. Serve melted cheese over warm potatoes and invite guests to mix and match their plates.

Notes

Keep the heat at medium to prevent cheese from burning. Prepare ingredients in advance to ease stress during cooking.
