Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin pan or line with paper muffin liners.

  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl: melted butter, eggs, and milk.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Add the diced pears and gently fold them in.
  6. Prepare the topping by mixing brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and softened butter until crumbly.
  7. Fill the muffin pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full, and sprinkle the topping on each one.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
