Pear Crisp

A delightful dessert that combines sweet baked pears with a crunchy oat topping, offering warmth and comfort with every bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pears by peeling and slicing them thinly.
  3. Make the topping by combining oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Pour in the melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  5. Assemble the crisp by spreading the pear slices in a greased baking dish and topping with oat mixture.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
