  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease two 9×5 inch loaf pans with butter or non-stick spray.

  4. In another mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Gradually add the beaten eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
  6. Grate your firm pears using a box grater or food processor.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture.
  8. Gently fold in your grated pears and chopped nuts.
  9. Evenly distribute the batter into your prepared loaf pans.
  10. Place the pans in your preheated oven and bake for about 60-70 minutes.
  11. Once baked, allow the bread to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. If your bread turns out too dense, you may have added too much flour.
