Homemade Peach Bread

Delicious and cozy peach bread that captures the warmth and sweetness of summer. Perfect for family gatherings and special moments.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Add the eggs, one at a time.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in the mashed peaches.
  8. Spoon the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute half of the flour with whole wheat flour. Enjoy this bread toasted with butter or as a dessert with whipped cream.
