Homemade Peach BBQ Sauce

A sweet, tangy, and smoky BBQ sauce that encapsulates the essence of summer with fresh peaches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Fresh Peaches, chopped
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare your peaches: Start by washing your peaches thoroughly. If they are fresh, slice them in half, remove the pits, and chop them into small pieces.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine your chopped peaches, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Give it a good stir until everything is well mixed.
  3. Cook it down: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir occasionally.
  4. Simmer away: Let your sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring often. Add a splash of water if it’s getting too thick too early.
  5. Blend it up: Once it has thickened nicely, let it cool slightly. Then use an immersion blender to puree the sauce until smooth.
  6. Taste test: Give your sauce a taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  7. Store or serve: Transfer your peach BBQ sauce to a clean jar or airtight container.
