One Pan Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

A cozy and comforting dish of fettuccine pasta tossed with shrimp in a creamy Alfredo sauce, perfect for impressing family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Save about half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, add the Parmesan cheese, and whisk until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine Everything: Return the fettuccine and sautéed shrimp to the skillet with the sauce. Stir well, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  5. Finishing Touches: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time; just store the sauce and shrimp separately until ready to combine with pasta. For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
