Italian Style Hamburger Steak

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties about 1-inch thick.
  4. Sear the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the patties to a baking dish and pour the marinara sauce around them.
  6. Top the patties with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
