Gâteau Moelleux aux Poires et Chocolat

A cozy dessert that beautifully blends rich dark chocolate with tender pears, perfect for special occasions or everyday treats.

  • 4 pears, peeled and sliced
  • 200 g dark chocolate, melted
  • 150 g sugar
  • 100 g butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 100 g flaked almonds
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare a cake pan (about 9 inches) with butter or parchment paper.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  4. Mix together the melted chocolate mixture, sugar, and eggs until glossy.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold into the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the sliced pears until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle flaked almonds on top.
  8. Bake for about 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

This cake freezes beautifully! Wrap tightly in plastic for unexpected guests.
