Cherry Cobbler Muffins

Delightful muffins combining rich, buttery flavors with tart cherries, reminiscent of summer gatherings and family traditions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Cherries (fresh, frozen, or pie filling)
  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted (for the topping mixture)
  • 1/4 cup Flour (for the topping mixture)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (for sweetness in the topping)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (to enhance the topping flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease your muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.
  3. Mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Cream the melted butter and sugar in another bowl until smooth.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the milk.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the cherries gently.
  8. Prepare the topping mixture by mixing the melted butter, flour, sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  9. Fill each muffin cup about 3/4 full with the batter.
  10. Add the topping mixture generously over each muffin.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature; they pair beautifully with honey or ice cream.
