  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 head of butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by chopping the water chestnuts and green onions.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Cook the ground chicken, crumbling it into smaller pieces until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Season it up by stirring in garlic powder, minced ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  5. Add the chopped water chestnuts and green onions, stirring for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Adjust seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Assemble your wraps by placing a scoop of the chicken mixture into each lettuce leaf.
  8. Serve and enjoy on a platter with extra soy sauce or sesame seeds if desired.
