Spiced Peach Bread

A cozy treat blending juicy peaches with warm spices, evoking nostalgia with every slice.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups ripe peaches, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  6. Incorporate the milk gradually, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the dry ingredients gently until just combined.
  8. Toss in the chopped peaches until evenly distributed.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  10. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

If you don’t have peaches, substitute with pears or apples. Adjust spices to your taste.
