PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps

A flavorful and simple recipe for chicken lettuce wraps that captures the spirit of family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (Butter or Iceberg)

Instructions

  1. Heat your oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once shimmering, add the finely chopped mushrooms. Sauté them for about 3-4 minutes until they start to brown.
  2. Push the mushrooms to one side of the skillet and add the ground chicken. Break it apart with your spatula and let it cook until it’s browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chopped red bell pepper and green onions! Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Wash and dry your lettuce leaves. Lay them out on your serving platter.

Notes

For added flavor, try incorporating chopped water chestnuts or giving the dish a spicy kick with red pepper flakes.
