Peach Streusel Bread

A comforting and sweet Peach Streusel Bread that evokes nostalgia and warmth, perfect for mornings, snacks, or dessert.

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced fresh peaches
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (for the streusel)
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 cup sliced fresh peaches (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the buttermilk, eggs, vegetable oil, and brown sugar in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and combine gently.
  5. Fold in the diced peaches carefully.
  6. Combine oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cold butter in a bowl until crumbly for the streusel topping.
  7. Pour the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle with streusel, and add sliced peaches on top.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 15 minutes in the pan before moving to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, serve warm with butter or ice cream. This bread can be frozen for up to 3 months.
