  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Start by gathering and prepping all your ingredients. Dice the onion, mince the garlic, grate the ginger, and finely chop the water chestnuts.
  2. Heat Up Your Pan: Pour the olive oil into a large skillet over medium heat. Allow it to get hot but not smoking.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onions to the heated pan. Sauté them for about 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  4. Add Garlic and Ginger: Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Cook the Chicken: Add the ground chicken. Stir occasionally for about 7-8 minutes or until fully cooked through.
  6. Mix in the Crunch: Once the chicken is cooked, mix in the finely chopped water chestnuts and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season the Mixture: Drizzle in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Final Touches: Off the heat, stir in the sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  9. Assemble Your Wraps: Gently separate the leaves of butter lettuce and wash them. Spoon a generous amount of chicken filling onto each leaf.
