  • 2 Green Onions, chopped
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers, diced
  • 1 cup Water Chestnuts, diced
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • Lettuce Leaves (Iceberg or Butter lettuce)
  • Chili Sauce (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Start by gathering all your ingredients. This little chef hack will make the cooking process feel like a breeze! Chop your veggies and set them aside.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of sesame oil. Once hot, add the ground chicken. Use a spatula to break it up and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sauté the aromatics: Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet. Stir and let it sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the veggies: Toss in the chopped green onions, bell peppers, and water chestnuts. Stir everything together and let it cook for another 3-5 minutes, until the veggies start to soften but still have a bit of crunch.
  5. Season: Pour in the soy sauce—stir to combine. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well coated and flavorful.
  6. Serve with lettuce: Carefully wash your lettuce leaves and pat them dry. They’re ready to be the delightful vessels for our savory chicken mixture.
