Apple Butter Sourdough Toast

A cozy breakfast or delightful snack made with homemade apple butter that brings warmth and nostalgia to your mornings.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium Apples
  • 1 cup Oats or Flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Dairy (milk or dairy alternative)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of cloves
  • ¼ cup brown sugar or maple syrup
  • 4 slices Sourdough Bread

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apple Butter:
    1. Chop and peel the apples into small chunks.
    2. Simmer the apples with water and spices for 15-20 minutes.
    3. Sweeten it up by mashing the apples and adding your sweetener.
  2. Prepare the Toast:
    1. Mix the oats or flour, eggs, and dairy together.
    2. Heat the skillet over medium heat with butter or oil.
    3. Cook the toast mixture until golden brown.
  3. Assemble Your Creation:
    1. Spread the homemade apple butter on your toast.

Notes
