Delicious Lettuce-Wrapped Burger with Avocado

A healthy twist on a classic burger, featuring lettuce wraps and creamy avocado.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 1 head Lettuce (Iceberg or Romaine)
  • 1 ripe Avocado
  • 4 slices Cheese (Optional)
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 1 small Onion, sliced (optional)
  • Mustard and Ketchup (to taste)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by washing and drying lettuce leaves, slicing tomatoes, onions, and cheese if using.
  2. Shape the patties by mixing your ground meat with salt and pepper, forming them about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Cook the patties on medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until well browned.
  4. Melt cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Assemble your burgers starting with a lettuce leaf, then layer the patty, avocado, tomatoes, onions, and condiments.
  6. Serve with a smile, either wrapped up or presented on a plate.

Notes

For added flavor, consider blending in spices like garlic powder or dried oregano into the patties.
