Kohlrabi-Pommes

A healthier alternative to traditional fries, these Kohlrabi-Pommes are crispy, flavorful, and a perfect side for any meal.

Ingredients

  • Kohlrabi
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Peel the kohlrabi and cut it into fry-shaped sticks.
  2. Combine the kohlrabi sticks with olive oil, garlic powder, Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Spread the seasoned kohlrabi sticks out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  4. Roast for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
  5. Serve warm, optionally sprinkling more Parmesan on top.

Notes

For variations, add spices like cayenne for heat, fresh herbs for aroma, or substitute with nutritional yeast for a vegan version.
