Honey Fig Jam

A delightful homemade Honey Fig Jam that transforms fresh figs into a luscious, sweet treat perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh figs, stems removed
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare your figs by rinsing and chopping them into quarters.
  2. Combine chopped figs, honey, lemon juice, and water in a pot.
  3. Cook on medium-low heat, stirring gently until the mixture simmers.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until thickened.
  5. Test for doneness using the cold plate method.
  6. Jar the jam while it’s still hot into sterilized jars.
  7. Let the jars cool at room temperature before transferring them to the refrigerator.
