Croziflette: A Hearty Delight Straight from the Alps

Croziflette is a comforting Alpine dish made with crozets, creamy Reblochon cheese, and savory bacon.

Ingredients

  • Crozets (small square pasta)
  • Reblochon cheese
  • Onion
  • Cream
  • Bacon or lardons
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a boil. Add the crozets and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
  3. In the same pan, add the sliced onions and sauté until translucent and fragrant.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the drained crozets, sautéed onions, bacon, and cream. Mix well and add salt and pepper.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and layer the Reblochon cheese on top.
  6. Pop the baking dish in the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20-25 minutes.

Notes

Let the dish sit for a few minutes before serving. Pair with a light salad and a glass of white wine.
