Kohlrabi Fritters

Crispy and golden kohlrabi fritters that bring warmth and comfort to your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups grated kohlrabi
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prep the kohlrabi: Peel and grate kohlrabi finely, squeezing out excess moisture.
  2. Mix the ingredients: Combine grated kohlrabi, cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Add the eggs: Crack the eggs into the bowl and mix until combined.
  4. Heat the oil: In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  5. Fry the fritters: Drop the mixture into the hot oil, flattening slightly. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  6. Drain and serve: Place fritters on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

Notes

Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or garnish with fresh herbs.
