Berry Banana Kale Smoothie

A vibrant and nutritious smoothie combining the sweetness of bananas and berries with the health benefits of kale.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup kale (stems removed)
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed berries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or other milk of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Remove the stems from your kale, slice the banana, and measure out your mixed berries.
  2. Blend the Greens: Toss the kale into your blender first along with a splash of almond milk (about 1/4 cup). Blend on high until it’s a smooth green puree.
  3. Add the Goodness: Next, throw in the banana, mixed berries, and the remaining almond milk. Blend until it’s a gorgeous, creamy texture.
  4. Chia Seeds Time: If you’re adding chia seeds, toss them in and pulse the blender a couple more times to incorporate them.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Take a tiny sip to see if it’s sweet enough or if it needs more milk. Adjust accordingly, blend again, and voilà — your smoothie is ready!
  6. Serve It Up: Pour your beautiful smoothie into your favorite glass or bowl and top with extra berries or chia seeds.

Notes
