Roasted Apples with Honey and Spices

  • 4 medium apples
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Core the apples and place them in a baking dish, standing upright.
  3. Mix the honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl until combined.
  4. Spoon the honey mixture into each apple.
  5. Add butter cubes on top of each apple.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and roast for 30 minutes.
  7. Check if the apples are tender by inserting a fork.
  8. Serve them warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
