Baked Caramelized Pears

Delightful baked pears caramelized to perfection, paired with warm spices for a cozy dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice each pear in half lengthwise and scoop out the core.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until combined.
  4. Place the halved pears cut-side up in a baking dish and drizzle the caramel mixture over them.
  5. Pop the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes until tender.
  6. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Best served warm with ice cream or yogurt. Consider adding nuts or other spices for variations.
