Heavenly Apple Streusel Muffins

Cozy Apple Streusel Muffins filled with warm cinnamon and baked apples, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour or oats
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter or oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the flour (or oats), baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Prepare the wet ingredients by beating the eggs, then adding sugar (or honey), milk (or yogurt), and melted butter (or oil).
  4. Combine the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold them together until just combined.
  5. Add in the diced apples and gently fold.
  6. Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with butter, Greek yogurt, or drizzle with honey for added sweetness. Freezable for up to 3 months.
