Savory Smash Burger Bowl

A low-carb twist on the classic burger experience that’s bursting with flavor and comfort.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 3 medium Red Potatoes
  • 1 cup Onions
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Mayo
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Pickles
  • 1 cup Lettuce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash the red potatoes thoroughly. Dice them into bite-sized pieces and place them in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 10-15 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Caramelize the Onions: Slice your onions thinly. In a skillet over medium heat, melt a tablespoon of butter and add the onions. Cook until golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, add the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks, seasoning with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Sauce: In a bowl, mix mayo, ketchup, and mustard until combined. Adjust to your taste.
  5. Combine Everything in the Bowl: Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them. Start with a layer of potatoes, followed by ground beef, caramelized onions, and shredded cheese.
  6. Top It Off: Drizzle your sauce over the top and finish with pickles and lettuce.
